Scarlett Croce
Provisional Psychologist
Scarlett is a provisional psychologist in her final year of study, completing a combined Masters and PhD in clinical psychology. She has experience working in community and private practice settings and believes the heart of therapy is building safety and trust between client and psychologist. Her philosophy is that while she may be the expert in psychology, you are the expert in your life and needs, and that by working together you can create meaningful change in your life.
Scarlett has experience working with individuals of all ages and genders to achieve their goals, and is particularly passionate about working with gender-diverse young people. As an Autistic person and comes from a neurodiverse family, Scarlett also has a special interest in supporting young people who identify as neurodivergent.
Scarlett’s strong belief is that therapy should be non-judgemental and person-led – an attitude that’s reflected in her relaxed and flexible approach to therapy, utilising humour and play, particularly for her younger clients who enjoy games and discussing their interests.
Scarlett uses a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach in her work, incorporating a range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, and ACT. Accompanying Scarlett are her two therapy cats, Violet and Toast, a pair of siblings who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where clients can express themselves freely.
When she’s not at the clinic, Scarlett enjoys doting on Toast and Violet (as well as their older sister, Tabitha), baking up a storm, watching anime and her favourite YouTubers/streamers, and playing videos games (particularly Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts).
