Mia Lander
Clinical Psychologist
I believe therapy begins with truly understanding each person and developing a strong therapeutic relationship with them. My approach is empathetic, non judgemental and flexible. I work to build an environment where clients and their families feel safe to openly discuss their challenges and goals.
As a Clinical Psychology Registrar and credentialed eating disorder clinician I use evidence based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, working with them on their journey to achieve their goals. I draw from multiple evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing of Trauma (CPT) and CBT-E (Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
My background includes working in two private specialist eating disorder clinics, a DBT clinic and a private hospital working with clients aged between 8 years to 68 years.
Mia has general registration as a psychologist at the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
