Alysha Jackson
Psychologist
Alysha is a fully registered psychologist with AHPRA. She places a high importance on the therapeutic relationship and believes in building trust and creating a safe space from the very first session. Alysha comes from a place of warmth, compassion, and holistic wellbeing, helping people understand themselves and their environments better and to feel more empowered in their lives. Alysha’s approach is collaborative, trauma informed, neurodiversity-affirming and strengths based. She believes in offering a unique approach for each unique client to work towards their unique goals for the life they want.
With extensive experience in counselling and working in both community and not-for-profit mental health settings, Alysha has worked with a wide range of clients from all cultural backgrounds, gender identities and sexual orientations. Within her work she has supported those facing a myriad of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and those looking to improve their overall quality of life. She has done extensive work in the Drug and Alcohol sector, working with those with addiction as well as counselling and support for their friends and family.
Outside of work Alysha loves reading, writing, travelling, comedy, and spending time with her dog Sumo, who she says he is too much of a grump to join in on sessions, but she adores him anyway.
