Emily Ritchie

Occupational Therapist

Emily is a registered Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and registered Health Fitness professional. Emily can provide services to clients who have a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan through Medicare and to those who are NDIS plan managed or self-managed. Emily began working as an Occupational Therapist in 2016, after graduating with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy Honours at Monash University.

Emily has experience working in a client centred holistic manner with neurodivergent and neurotypical persons and their families across the lifespan, in a variety of settings including forensic mental health and community health in clinic, the home and community environment.

In practice Emily aims to provide a warm, empathetic and non-judgmental space for clients to feel validated, supported and empowered in working towards their goals and learning new skills and behaviours, understanding the importance and value of ones lived experience.

Emily is particularly passionate about working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem and post-partum. Self-regulation, sensory processing, emotional resilience, gross and fine motor development, daily living skills, motivation, routine and rebalancing self-care after trauma.

Emily loves the outdoors and exercising for her mind and body and with a love of animals, anticipates training in animal assisted therapy soon.
