Melissa Mulraney
Provisional Psychologist
Melissa is a provisionally registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is completing her Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Monash University. She also holds a PhD in psychology from Monash University.
Melissa has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults on issues such as sleep problems, anxiety, neurodevelopmental disorders, and mental health challenges. Her strengths-based approach focuses on supporting clients through their journey by highlighting their capabilities. She uses evidence-based interventions like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness, tailored to individual needs.
Melissa is skilled in assessing a wide range of presentations, including cognitive and learning difficulties, neurodivergence, and mood and anxiety disorders.
Melissa is an experienced researcher, having spent 15 years working across a variety of areas including ADHD, sleep, anxiety, emotional regulation, and health services. She recently spent 18-months in a research role at the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) advising on evidence-based supports and current works in developmental mental health research at the University of Melbourne. Her research background strengthens her ability to effectively work with clients using evidence-based practice.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys playing netball, being outdoors, watching footy, and reading.
