Alex Donaldson
Telehealth Occupational Therapist
Alex is an Occupational Therapist who began her professional journey at Plymouth University in the UK, where she developed a deep passion for neurorehabilitation. After gaining invaluable experience in both hospital and community settings in Bristol, Alex relocated to Australia and now works within the NDIS, providing comprehensive care to both paediatric and adult clients. She has supported individuals with a wide range of conditions, including those with neurodivergence and complex neurological disorders, always bringing a thoughtful and personalised approach to each client.
Driven by a strong interest in sensory modulation, mental health, and neurorehabilitation, Alex takes a holistic view of therapy, tailoring interventions to the unique needs of each individual. She believes in the importance of understanding not only the medical but also the emotional and sensory aspects of each client’s life, ensuring that therapy is both effective and compassionate.
A firm advocate of animal-assisted therapy, Alex is excited to soon welcome a golden retriever puppy into her life, with plans to incorporate the puppy into future therapy sessions to enhance the therapeutic experience. When not working, Alex can often be found running, weight training, or enjoying the calming effect of being by the sea, with a deep love for travel and exploration always on the horizon.
